On behalf of our school whanau, welcome to Kawerau Intermediate School

Intermediates occupy an important place in our Education system.  At Kawerau Intermediate we aim to prepare your child for their secondary school years by providing them with academic skills which will enable them to learn for themselves to become independent learners.

The pre-adolescent years are a time of great physical, intellectual and social development.  At Kawerau Intermediate we provide a wide range of sport and cultural experiences which may provide lifelong leisure time pursuits.  Kawerau Intermediate provides the opportunity for your child to develop into a mature learner with a broad range of skills and interests.
