Community Petition shows 99% support for retainining separate Intermediate education. 2251 signatures from Kawerau residents...and rising!

 

This map shows the homes in Kawerau where one or more adults have signed the petition in support of retaining separate intermediate schooling in Kawerau. Click on the map to see a bigger version. We will be collecting signatures through until Friday 18 May. If you have not signed or can help with going door to door with the petition then pop into school.

 

The continuation of a united stance of 99% of the Kawerau Community is clear to see.

Dear Parents/Caregivers and Whanau. The Board of Trustees thanks you for your continued support and commitment for retaining intermediate education in Kawerau. The Board will continue to keep you informed of the its judicial review proceedings against the Ministry of Education through our school website and newsletters. When the opportunity arrises to attend a hearing at the High Court in Rotorua we will be sure to let you know.

 

HEARING DATE SET

 

The hearing date has been set in the Rotorua High Court for Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd of July, 2012. This is a public hearing and open to any member of the public to attend. Many parents/caregivers and supporters throughout the community have indicated that they would like to attend. If you require assistance in getting to Rotorua on one or both of the days then please phone school to be added to our transport list.
